4MM CATHEDRAL PATTERNED GLASS
From $99
A softly rippled texture that breaks up the view without blocking it. Common in older Australian homes for internal doors, side lights and hallway panels. About 10 kg per m².
4mm Cathedral patterned glass — a softly rippled, irregular texture rolled into one face during manufacture. It breaks up the view without blocking it, keeping a light and open feel.
Widely used in older Australian homes for internal doors, side lights, hallway and stair panels and cabinet fronts, which makes it one of the patterns we are most often asked to match for a broken pane.
Cathedral gives moderate privacy. For a bathroom or toilet window, Satinlite obscures considerably more. Because the texture is rolled into the glass it can never wear off or go patchy the way an etched finish can.
About 10 kg per m². Any panel fitted in a door, beside a door, in a bathroom, or below 500mm from floor level must be safety glass under AS 1288. Specify toughening when you order — toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards.

HOW YOUR GLASS IS HANDLED
Cut-to-size glass does not survive being treated as ordinary freight, so we deliver it ourselves rather than handing it to a general courier.
- Every panel is inspected before it leaves us.
- Your driver checks the order again with you on delivery.
- All glass meets Australian Standards.
Please check your glass before signing. If anything has been damaged in transit, tell the driver at the point of delivery and we will arrange a remake.
ON DELIVERY DAY
Someone needs to be on site to receive and check the order. Larger and thicker panels can be heavy enough to need two people to move safely. If you are unsure about the weight of your panel, ask us before delivery day.
