Sizes have a tolerance of ±2mm. If the glass goes into a frame, recess or opening, enter a size 2–3mm smaller than the space so it fits.
Round toughened glass must be polished, so a round toughened piece is always priced with polished edges.
All 4 corners: the sharp point on each corner is ground off so it won’t catch skin or clothing and is less likely to chip. The glass still looks square. Recommended for table tops.

Description

6mm Spotswood patterned glass — a distinct linear texture, and one of the most common patterns in Australian homes. The strong directional lines give good privacy and a recognisable, slightly retro look.

Used in bathroom windows, internal doors, side panels, stair partitions and cabinet fronts. Because the pattern is directional, decide which way the lines should run before ordering: vertical makes a panel read taller, horizontal wider, and across a run of panels the direction needs to stay consistent.

Replacing a broken pane? Spotswood is easy to confuse with other linear patterns. Photograph the existing glass and send it to us before ordering — a mismatched panel in a run of matching ones is obvious.

About 15 kg per m². Any panel fitted in a door, beside a door, in a bathroom, or below 500mm from floor level must be safety glass under AS 1288. Specify toughening when you order — toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards.

ON DELIVERY DAY

Someone needs to be on site to receive and check the order. Larger and thicker panels can be heavy enough to need two people to move safely. If you are unsure about the weight of your panel, ask us before delivery day.
