12.38mm clear laminated glass — two heavy sheets of float glass bonded either side of a clear interlayer. If it breaks, the pieces stay stuck to the interlayer instead of falling out of the opening.
The heavy-duty laminate. Large overhead and sloped glazing, long spans, security and shopfront glazing, and balustrade infills where a laminated panel is specified rather than toughened.
The extra thickness buys both strength and quiet — this is one of the better options for cutting road noise without going to a purpose-made acoustic laminate. The interlayer blocks almost all UV. It can be cut and edge-worked but not toughened after lamination. Weight is about 31 kg per m², so panels of any size are a two-person lift.

HOW YOUR GLASS IS HANDLED
Cut-to-size glass does not survive being treated as ordinary freight, so we deliver it ourselves rather than handing it to a general courier.

Please check your glass before signing. If anything has been damaged in transit, tell the driver at the point of delivery and we will arrange a remake.
ON DELIVERY DAY
Someone needs to be on site to receive and check the order. Larger and thicker panels can be heavy enough to need two people to move safely. If you are unsure about the weight of your panel, ask us before delivery day.
