10mm Energy Tech clear. A locally made low emissivity glass with a hard pyrolytic coating — it looks like ordinary clear glass and behaves like ordinary clear glass to cut, handle and toughen, but it holds a great deal more heat inside the room in winter.
Window and door replacement in older houses, where single glazing is the reason the room never holds its warmth. It is the cheapest meaningful step up from plain float without going to a double glazed unit.
It will not do as much as a sealed double glazed unit, but it needs no change to the frame, so it suits jobs where the existing timber or aluminium sashes are staying. Weight is about 25 kg per m². Any panel fitted in a door, beside a door, in a bathroom, or below 500mm from floor level must be safety glass under AS 1288.

HOW YOUR GLASS IS HANDLED
Cut-to-size glass does not survive being treated as ordinary freight, so we deliver it ourselves rather than handing it to a general courier.

- Your driver checks the order again with you on delivery.
- All glass meets Australian Standards.
Please check your glass before signing. If anything has been damaged in transit, tell the driver at the point of delivery and we will arrange a remake.
ON DELIVERY DAY
Someone needs to be on site to receive and check the order. Larger and thicker panels can be heavy enough to need two people to move safely. If you are unsure about the weight of your panel, ask us before delivery day.
