6mm Energy Tech Grey Glass Cut to Size

6mm Energy Tech Grey Glass cut to size from $366/m². A 600 × 900mm piece with polished edges is $285.64 ($298.60 toughened), delivered across Melbourne, inner Geelong and the Sydney region.

Grey tint plus a low emissivity coating. West-facing rooms that are both too bright and too hot. About 15 kg per m².

Sizes have a tolerance of ±2mm. If the glass goes into a frame, recess or opening, enter a size 2–3mm smaller than the space so it fits.
Round toughened glass must be polished, so a round toughened piece is always priced with polished edges.
All 4 corners: the sharp point on each corner is ground off so it won’t catch skin or clothing and is less likely to chip. The glass still looks square. Recommended for table tops.
All 4 corners are ground to a small 2mm radius for a smoother feel. The glass still looks square. Recommended for table tops. Default radius is 2mm. Need a larger radius (up to 10mm)? Write it in the order notes at checkout.

Description

6mm Energy Tech grey. The grey body tint knocks down glare and daylight; the low emissivity coating cuts heat moving through the glass in both directions. Together they handle the two complaints that usually come as a pair — the room is too bright and it is too hot.

West-facing living rooms, upper-floor windows, and glazing above stairwells where the afternoon sun is the problem.

The coating is hard and pyrolytic, so the glass cuts, handles and toughens like ordinary float. Weight is about 15 kg per m². Any panel fitted in a door, beside a door, in a bathroom, or below 500mm from floor level must be safety glass under AS 1288.

Cut to your exact measurements. Choose polished edges wherever the edge will be visible or handled.
