CLEAR GLASS

Clear float glass is the standard glass used in most homes: the everyday glazing you will find in windows, shelves, tabletops and cabinet doors. It carries a slight green tint that becomes more visible in the edge and in thicker panels. If you need a truly colourless finish, look at our low iron range instead.

Choosing a thickness. 4mm and 5mm suit picture frames, cabinet doors and small windows. 6mm is the everyday all-rounder, used for shelving, cabinet doors and standard glazing. 8mm and 10mm suit larger shelves, tabletops and heavier applications. 12mm and 15mm are structural weights, used for frameless shower screens, balustrades and large tabletops.

Any panel that could be walked into, sat on or leaned against should be toughened. That includes tabletops, shower screens, balustrades and low-level glazing. Toughening is available on every thickness in this range and must be specified when you order, because glass cannot be cut or drilled once it has been toughened.

Every panel is cut to your exact measurements. Choose polished edges wherever the edge will be visible or handled.
