How the price is worked out
Four components and three rules cover every quote on this site.
- Glass: area in square metres × the per-m² rate for that glass type and thickness.
- Polished edge (optional): perimeter in linear metres × the edge rate. Straight and curved edges are charged differently, because curves are machined.
- Toughening (optional): area in square metres × the toughening rate. Mirror and laminated glass cannot be toughened.
- Round cut (optional): a flat fee per circle, on top of the above.
The three rules
- Minimum billable area is 0.5 m² per piece. Anything under half a square metre is charged as half a square metre. A 400 × 400mm piece (0.16 m²) is billed as 0.5 m².
- Circles are billed on the square they are cut from. A circle of diameter D is cut out of a square blank, so it is billed on (D + 40mm) squared. A 700mm circle is billed as 740 × 740mm, or 0.5476 m².
- A flat $49 is added once per order. This is what makes delivery across Melbourne metro, inner Geelong and the Sydney region included in the price. It is charged once per order, not per panel — two panels on one order still carry one $49, so ordering together is always cheaper than ordering separately.

Questions we get asked
Is there a minimum order?
There is no minimum order value, but there is a minimum billable area of 0.5 m² per piece. The smallest order you can place is the 0.5 m² minimum on the cheapest glass plus the $49 order charge — $99 for 4mm clear.
Does ordering two panels cost twice as much?
Each panel is priced on its own size, but the $49 order charge applies once to the whole order. Ordering several panels together is always cheaper than ordering them one at a time.
Can any glass be toughened?
No. Mirror cannot be toughened after silvering, and laminated glass is not offered as a toughening upgrade. The rate table shows “not offered” wherever this applies.
What does a polished edge cost?
On glass up to 6mm it is $13 per linear metre for straight edges and $31 per linear metre for curves. Thicker glass costs more — 8mm to 12mm is $17 and $61.
