All 4 corners: the sharp point on each corner is ground off so it won’t catch skin or clothing and is less likely to chip. The glass still looks square. Recommended for table tops.

What 4mm mirror is used for

4mm is the standard thickness for bathroom vanity mirrors, wardrobe and hallway mirrors, and most wall mirrors up to about 1200 × 1800mm that are glued flat to a wall. It weighs about 10 kg per m², so it is easy to handle and fix. For full walls, gyms and very large mirrors choose 6mm silver mirror, which is stiffer and reflects without ripple.

Edges and shapes

  • Polished: smooth, flat and safe to touch. The usual choice for a frameless mirror.
  • Bevelled: an angled edge around the face that catches the light and gives a framed look without a frame. Rectangles and squares only.
  • Round: choose Round and enter the diameter. Cut on a CNC machine and polished all the way around.

Fixing a frameless mirror

Use a mirror-safe neutral cure silicone or mirror adhesive in vertical strips, with a J-channel or two bottom clips to take the weight while it cures. Ordinary acetic (vinegar-smelling) silicone can damage the backing. Standard silver mirror is not safety glass: where it could be walked into, such as a wardrobe door down to the floor, ask us about a safety-backed mirror.

Delivery

Most Melbourne orders arrive within 2–5 business days and Sydney orders within 3–5; round and bevelled mirrors can take a little longer. Not sure which colour suits? See silver, bronze or grey mirror, or the full mirror cut to size guide.

  • All glass meets Australian Standards.

Please check your glass before signing. If anything has been damaged in transit, tell the driver at the point of delivery and we will arrange a remake.
