Description

6.38mm clear laminated safety glass: two 3mm sheets bonded around a 0.38mm interlayer. If it breaks, the interlayer holds the fragments in place instead of letting them fall.

The standard choice for windows above ground level, doors and side panels, and anywhere AS 1288 calls for safety glass but toughening is not practical. It also blocks over 99% of UV, so it protects furnishings, artwork and timber floors from fading, and damps sound noticeably better than 6mm float.

Weighs roughly 15.5 kg per m². Laminated glass can be cut to size but not drilled or notched after lamination.

Cut to your exact measurements. Choose polished edges wherever the edge will be visible or handled.
