Painted Glass Splashback 6mm (Sydney)

6mm low iron toughened glass, back painted in any Dulux colour, with polished edges and power point cut-outs. Made to measure, price includes delivery. Sydney metro delivery only.

Panels smaller than 0.5 m² are charged as 0.5 m². Price includes delivery across Melbourne metro, inner Geelong and the Sydney region, charged once per order. Add more pieces to the same order at no extra delivery cost.

Each corner is lightly rounded off so there is no sharp point to catch skin or clothing, and the corners are less likely to chip. Recommended for table tops. The glass still looks square.
Type the Dulux colour name, for example Natural White, Vivid White or Domino. Colours on glass can look slightly different from a paint chip.
Painting is charged on at least 1 m² per panel.
After you order we email you to confirm the position and size of each cut-out before the glass is made. Holes cannot be added once the glass is toughened.

Painted glass splashbacks, made to measure

A painted glass splashback is 6mm low iron (ultra clear) glass, sprayed on the back in the Dulux colour you choose, then toughened. The paint sits behind the glass, so the side you wipe is smooth glass with no grout lines, and the colour stays bright for years. Enter your width and height above and the price updates as you type, with delivery included.

Why low iron glass?

Ordinary clear glass has a green tint that shows through the paint, so whites look minty and pale colours shift. Low iron glass has most of the iron removed, so the colour you pick is the colour you see.

How to measure

Measure the width along the benchtop and the height from the benchtop to the underside of the cabinets or rangehood, at both ends and in the middle. Use the smallest figure and take about 3mm off each side that meets a wall or cabinet, so the panel fits with a silicone gap. Runs longer than 3 metres, or walls with a corner, are made as separate panels.

Power points

Choose how many power point cut-outs you need. After you order we email you to confirm the position and size of each one. A simple sketch with measurements from the left edge and from the bench is all we need. Everything is cut before toughening, because toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled.

Questions

Which colours can I choose? Any colour in the Dulux range. Type the colour name when you order. If the exact shade matters, ask us about a sample first.

Is there a minimum? Glass is charged on at least 0.5 m² per panel and painting on at least 1 m² per panel.

Do you install? No, we make and deliver the glass. A glazier or kitchen fitter can fix it with a neutral cure silicone made for glass.

HOW YOUR GLASS IS HANDLED

  • All glass meets Australian Standards.

Please check your glass before signing. If anything has been damaged in transit, tell the driver at the point of delivery and we will arrange a remake.

ON DELIVERY DAY

Someone needs to be on site to receive and check the order. Larger and thicker panels can be heavy enough to need two people to move safely. If you are unsure about the weight of your panel, ask us before delivery day.
