What changes the price
- Size: glass is priced per m², and pieces under 0.5 m² are priced as 0.5 m².
- Thickness: 6mm for protectors and small tables, 10mm for most dining tables, 12mm for large or heavily used tops.
- Toughening: recommended for any table top that is the table itself. It makes the glass about five times stronger and safe if it breaks.
- Shape: round tops are cut on a CNC machine and cost a little more per m² than a rectangle.
- Glass type: low iron (super clear) removes the green edge tint and costs more; grey or bronze tinted glass is also available.
Online price or a glazier’s quote?
With our calculator you enter the size and see the price at once, with delivery included, and the glass is made to that size. A local glazier can measure and fit on site, which suits awkward shapes or built-in tables, but you wait for a visit and a quote. For a standard rectangle or round table, measuring it yourself takes a few minutes: measure the width and length in millimetres at the top, decide whether the glass should sit flush or overhang, and check the size twice before ordering.
