Sizes have a tolerance of ±2mm. If the glass goes into a frame, recess or opening, enter a size 2–3mm smaller than the space so it fits.
Round toughened glass must be polished, so a round toughened piece is always priced with polished edges.

Description

10mm acid etched frosted glass. The surface is micro-etched with an acid wash to give an even satin finish that obscures vision while letting light through.

Acid etching is the better frosted finish. Compared with sandblasting it is smoother, more consistent across the sheet, and far less prone to holding fingerprints and grease marks — which matters in a bathroom.

Frameless shower screens and door panels at a structural weight. The etch is on one face only; the reverse stays smooth. In a shower, fit the etched face outward so the smooth side takes the water and squeegees clean.

About 25 kg per m². Any panel fitted in a door, beside a door, in a bathroom, or below 500mm from floor level must be safety glass under AS 1288. Specify toughening when you order — toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards.

Cut to your exact measurements. Choose polished edges wherever the edge will be visible or handled.

Please check your glass before signing. If anything has been damaged in transit, tell the driver at the point of delivery and we will arrange a remake.

ON DELIVERY DAY

Someone needs to be on site to receive and check the order. Larger and thicker panels can be heavy enough to need two people to move safely. If you are unsure about the weight of your panel, ask us before delivery day.
